Mindful play with rock salt, shells and treasures from @navybabynz Mr 19 months loves filling & emptying and repeats this process repeatedly, usually in the mud kitchen with sand and water 🌿 I offered rock salt, a scoop & wooden spoon from our heuristic play set, along with two little baskets. I added some shells to compliment the set
🌿 Over the past few days Mr 19 months has been filling & emptying the little baskets. Today he moved a basket far away from the tray. I saw his concentration as he first used both hands and then his dominant hand to balance the salt on the spoon and empty it into the basket 😍 He also really enjoyed helping to sweep the spilled rock salt off the floor afterwards
